Mission statement
BIG Properties’ commercial portfolio is biased in favour of established businesses that hold significant property assets, but whose core business is not property ownership. Through the acquisition of those properties, BIG Properties creates liquidity for those businesses and provides exceptional property management and facilities management services.
Property ownership is a thorny issue in South Africa in light of our history of deprivation of black people. BIG Properties envisages a South Africa where the acquisition of land is accessible to more South Africans. To that end, 40% of BIG Properties is owned by a broad-based trust that benefits black women to empower them to escape poverty.
